City of Manila —Through conciliation -mediation, the preventive mediation between DCT Holdings and Motor Services Corp. and DCT Workers Union-LAGMAN was amicably settled in one conciliation meeting, recently, Director Feliciano R. Orihuela, Jr. announced.
The union agreed to withdraw the PM case on 02 July 2019 following the commitment of management to facilitate the regularization of a warehouseman. The union agreed to discuss the issue about the leadman in their next CBA while recognizing management prerogative to hire agency workers such as messenger and car jockeys.
Conmed Michelle Jean O. Reñido who facilitated the settlement said that union sought assistance last June 20 for violation of CBA provisions on job contracting and appropriate bargaining unit. Union pleads for regularization of 1 warehouseman, 1 leadman, 2 car jockeys and 1 messenger.
According to Conmed Reñido, union wanted the inclusion of said employees to their bargaining unit.
Director Orihuela commended Conmed Reñido for the immediate settlement of the labor dispute.
DCT Holdings and Motor Services Corp. is a car dealer. It is located at 1150 EDSA corner Oliveros Drive, Quezon City. It has total employment of more or less 80 employees.
