Manila – In compliance to the directive of RCMB-NCR Director Feliciano R. Orihuela, Jr. to conduct an intensified Area-wide Labor Education for all the clusters in the National Capital Region (NCR), the RCMB-NCR branch conducted another Area-wide Labor Education Seminar for MUNTAPARLAS area.

“Actually, this is the fifth time that we had this kind of seminar with the three clusters.  The first one was in Quezon City and second one was in CAMANAVA,” Orihuela said.

“The seminar was in coordination and partnership with A Society of Advocates for Peace and Progress (ASAPP) and DOLE as part of convergence of programs,” Orihuela added.

“Various organized and unorganized companies totalling to 28 with 53 participants, attended the seminar held at the Eurotel Hotel in Las Pinas City,” Orihuela further added.

The seminar aims to establish LMCs and GMs to companies with no bipartite      mechanisms and to enhance those with LMCs and GMs.

Speakers from the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns (BWSC), Department of Labor and Employment-National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR), Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-National Capital Region (RTWPB-NCR), Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) and Regional Conciliation and Mediation Board-National Capital Region, were tapped to discuss their assigned topics.

Orihuela thanked the participants for attending the seminar. “He reiterated that the seminar, which RCMB-NCR is providing is offered free of charge.  He encouraged them to look into the benefits of having an LMC and GM in their respective workplaces,” Orihuela added.
