Regional Conciliation and Mediation Board-National Capital Region Director Feliciano R. Orihuela, Jr., announced today that the Branch will conduct an Area-Wide Labor Education Seminar with LMC Convergence of Programs fpr CAMANAVA Cluster on April 17, 2018 at the Maricopa Hotel & Restaurant Co., Inc. No. 003 Poblacion II, Maysan Road, Valenzuela City.

“Hopefully, the seminar with the companies in the areas of Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, and Valenzuela will result in more companies embracing LMCs and GMs as a way of life, “Orihuela said.

“Our objectives in doing this kind of seminar are as follows: 1 To facilitate and maintain compliance with Labor Laws, address decent work deficits, foster harmonious labor-management relationship and industrial peace, and increase productivity and competiveness of enterprises; 2. To reiterate to the NCR companies/establishments their role in the maintenance of industrial peace in the region; and 3. To encourage NCR companies to join ASAPP’s industrial peace advocacy-an implementing arm of the Board in the promotion of its programs and services, “ Orihuela added.

“Representatives from organised and unorganised companies were invited in the said seminar,” he added.

Aside from the speakers of the Branch, DOLE-NCR, RTWPB-NCR, OSHC and ECC will provide their own speakers.  Atty. Allan S. Montano, President of PAVA-National will also serve as speaker for Voluntary Arbitration Program.

“Councilor Ramon L. Encarnacion, OIC-Worker’s Affair Office of the City Government of Valenzuela City will deliver a welcome message. NCMB’s Executive Director Shirley M. Pascual will grace the occasion and will give an inspirational message,” Orihuela said.

“We hope that after the seminar, the participants will recognize the importance of not only having LMCs and GMs in their companies but of making them functional as well,” Orihuela said.

“The seminar will have its second phase for the same cluster on April 25, 2017,” Orihuela added.
