The complaint of Rudolfo P. Deliarte III for disability claims based on CBA was settled after the issue was submitted to conciliation-mediation on March 15, 2019.
In the Branch’s report to OIC Executive Director Maria Teresita L. Cancio, Deliarte filed a Notice to Arbitrate against his manning agency, C. F. Sharp Crew Management, Inc., before the Regional Conciliation and Mediation Board-National Capital Region, claiming payment for total and permanent disability benefits, moral and exemplary damages and attorney’s fees.
Chief LEO Corazon M. Fegi held a series of conferences. On 04 June 2019, C. F. Sharp agreed to complainant’s proposed settlement of US$75,000.00. Deliarte got the said amount as full settlement of his claims on 23 July 2019.
Deliarte thanked Fegi for her efforts in facilitating the settlement of his claims.
Cancio commended Fegi for her efforts in the settlement of the case.
Deliarte was onboard MV “INSIGNIA” when he was repatriated to the Philippines due to calcaneal fracture on both foot.
